Is It Spring Already?

Not that it’s any warmer. It’s been this warm most of the past winter. But at least looking at the calendar one can definitely say that it’s spring now. Not that it matters much in the time of restricted travel and increased financial uncertainty. Still, the Nature does not care. It’s about to sprout with fresh green. And I definitely welcome that. And so do the birds.

First Spring Birds 2021

It’s been over three months since I’ve started this site. About time for a new post I guess :)

There’s been a few minor updates to the backend of this JAMstack endeavor, and it all worked quite smoothly via GitHub Actions. No complaints there.

Cloudflare has released a similar to the GitHub Actions feature, “CF Pages”. I’ve tried it. It works. It looks nice. Not sure what it offers me that GitHub Actions does not. And since I’ve already set up the GitHub Actions to work for the site deployment, I do not see why I would switch just yet.

I’ve overhauled my keyboard. It’s now especially pleasant to type on. I’ve got a set of PBT keycaps and glued the wobbly switches to the metal plate. Now it’s so nice to the touch and consistent. Much fun to type. Wow. Doge to the Moon.

And finally I’ve bought myself a new table. It’s been almost two weeks now since it arrived with the poorly polished, cracked wooden top and the legs, horribly smelling of paint. So I’ve been having myself some fun: grinding down the horrible paint, re-painting the table legs, pouring epoxy into the cracks of the wooden top and polising the mentioned top.

And while one might assume that I am unhappy about all of that table drama, that’s cannot be further from the truth. I enjoy doing carpentry work once in a while. It’s so satisfying. Beats jboss troubleshooting hands down :)

Cannot wait to finally migrate my setup to the new table tho. It’s been long overdue.

Sitting beside a fresh (almost self-made) table, typing on a fresh set of caps, I might find myself making more frequent updates to this blog :) Oh future, you are so bright and budding! See you there, dear reader!
